Quality knitwear is an investment. With proper care, your Heritage Knittings pieces will remain soft, beautiful, and last for years—even decades.

Cashmere Care

Washing

Hand wash (recommended):

  1. Fill a basin with lukewarm water (no warmer than 30°C)
  2. Add a small amount of cashmere shampoo or mild detergent
  3. Submerge the garment and gently swirl—don't rub, twist, or wring
  4. Soak for up to 30 minutes
  5. Rinse thoroughly in clean lukewarm water
  6. Gently press out water—never wring or twist

Dry cleaning: Professional dry cleaning is safe for cashmere and ideal for heavily soiled items.

Pilling

Light pilling is natural with cashmere and indicates genuine fibre quality. Use a cashmere comb or fabric shaver to gently remove pills. Pills diminish after the first few wears.

Storage

Mink Cashmere Care

Mink cashmere is even finer and more delicate than regular cashmere.

Merino Wool Care

Merino is more resilient than cashmere but still benefits from gentle care.

Machine wash (safe):

Drying: Lay flat to dry or tumble dry on lowest heat setting.

General Tips
